On February 26, 2025, Shenglin Hydraulic Manufacturing (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., a domestic manufacturer of liquid cooling components, officially joined the globally renowned Open Compute Project (OCP) organization, becoming another Chinese member of this organization.
Introduction of OCP Organization
The Open Compute Project (OCP), an open-source hardware organization jointly initiated by Facebook, Intel, Rackspace, Goldman Sachs and Arista Networks in 2011, aims to provide efficient server, storage and data center hardware designs for achieving scalable computing, in order to reduce the environmental impact of data centers. Since its establishment, OCP has been innovating around open-source contributions in areas such as networking, servers, storage and OpenRack. As of now, global renowned cloud computing and telecommunications enterprises such as Google, Microsoft, IBM, AT&T and Inspur have successively become OCP members.
OCP is also actively collaborating with major servers and CSP manufacturers to promote the development and large-scale application of liquid cooling technology. It has successively standardized the application standards for key liquid cooling components and materials such as liquid cooling connectors and coolant. Currently, OCP has specially established immersion liquid cooling and cold plate liquid cooling project teams.
